A fantastic spot in South Gare on the southern bank of the River Tees, adored by painters, photographers, bird watchers and kite surfers! So called 'Paddy's Hole' after the Irish navvis who helped to build the breakwater. The small harbour is flanked by the industry of the steel works and Hartlepool Power station in the distance. This is the first of the finished paintings from my recent sketchbook in spring of 2021.
