As the new day dawns with the rising sun, the field in the half light starts to come alive and thespring breeze brings the unfurling of the Ferns.  The Iris bloom in spectacular style in huge clumps along the river bank.  The May Flower or Cuckoo Flower bloom in time to hear the first calls of its namesake, dancing in the breeze with a sprinkling of Forget-me-knot, their bright blue faces echoed in the Common Blue butterflies.

'Down the Field'  has been a year long project depicting the seasonal and monthly changes in the flora and fauna, inspired by my daily morning walk with Dotty.  There is a strong nod to the Arts and Crafts Movement in their design, which is echoed in the framing.

Framing - Beautifully framed in a high end moulding with deep bevel mount and Art Glass, which reduces reflection but also shows the colours as their true hue.
